AcYut Biped
It all started when the team of undergraduate students built a prototype biped with just scrape aluminium and some old motors lying in the Robotics lab (Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems aka CRIS) at BITS-Pilani.
With the successful completion of a completely functional biped they proved their potential to the outside world and gained a lot of confidence in themselves.
Now they set their eyes on bigger and better things: design and construction of a fully functional humanoid capable of almost all the activities a human being can perform.
AcYut - meaning 'The Imperishable' in Sanskrit, is the name of the series of humanoids being developed at the Centre for Robotics and Intelligent Systems by a team of undergraduates under the guidance of Dr. B.K. Rout at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India.
