With AcYut 4 made, the team decided to further develop the autonomous platform. To make AcYut more autonomous and capable, they decided to improve its software. With improved software came the need to improve core hardware.

AcYut 5 was developed to overcome the shortcomings of the processing power of AcYut 4. With a newly installed 1.8 Ghz Intel Atom processor combined with the mechanical structure of AcYut 4, AcYut 5 was a natural improvement of AcYut 4.

With eyes set on Autonomous Robot Soccer at RoboCup, the team succesfully developed algorithms for Ball tracking, Localisation, Path Planning and an Autonomous Behaviour which made AcYut 5 the most advanced Indian Autonomous Humanoid.
